Dan Haren Traded to Angels
Dan Haren was traded on Sunday to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, He was sent packing for a package of 3 young pitchers and a player to be named later. Haren will help bolster a LA staff that is currently chasing the Texas Rangers. The players returning to the Diamondbacks in the deal are: LHP Joe Saunders, LHP Patrick Corbin, RHP Rafael Rodriguez and a PTBNL (Tyler Skaggs perhaps).
First thought, really? That’s all you got? For Haren? Almost 1100 INN in 5 years. He’s 29. Control until 2013. A staff ace. For Joe Saunders? And the three other young guys. No Trout. No Conger.
