.295-35-118-98-2 in 584 AB. Big Tex started his first year of his $180 million deal on Broadway in ‘09 without his boy Arod and had a slow go out of the gates. When Alex came back, so did Teixeira’s bat as he helped the Bronx Bombers to yet another World Series Championship. You can pencil in, or use pen if you’d like, consistent production from this first baseman. He is usually a lock for .300-30-110-100 in any season and could conceivably have a better campaign in 2010 with a full season from Rodriguez. Take him as a TOP 5 first baseman on draft day.
