After being dealt from the Indians to Philly and leading the Phillies last year into the post-season and World Series, Lee stated he thought he was going to end his career on Delaware Ave. Not so fast my friend. Ruben Amaro Jr. goes out and finally lands his coveted prize, Roy Halladay from the Toronto Blue Jays during the winter. Having 2 aces, he then trades Lee to Seattle. Why? Most likely financial reasons, but why? Could have punched your ticket to October right there. That’s another article… Lee will sit behind King Felix until he hits the open market next off-season. He might not accumulate the wins, but look for a solid all-star year – ERA and WHIP wise – from Lee, pitching in cavernous Safeco, in front of a terrific defense and in a walk year.
