2010 PROJECTIONS & OUTLOOK:
.290-26-90-73-2 in 532 AB. One a time Cuban defector, this import took four years to arrive in Anaheim, but replaced Mark Teixiera with flying colors. He posted solid numbers across the board and finished in the TOP 10 among first basemen. He always showed a good average in the minors, but never the power with 15 being the most HR he had hit in any year. Morales was 26 last year and just starting to hit his prime years – it’s possible his body matured and his game just came together. I think the averages for Kendry stated above, are a little light and personally feel his line will look closer to something like this: .300-28-100-80-2. I really like Morales this year and see him having close to a repeat of 2009.
