2010 PROJECTIONS & OUTLOOK: .268-15-66-84-38 in 534 AB. Upton has yet to meet all the potential and expectations that scouts and baseball people see in him – flashing signs of brilliance from time to time. EXAMPLE: Tearing up Philly pitching in the 2008 World Series. Recent shoulder woes and injuries have hindered his swing as well as his development. A healthy B.J. is a happy B.J. (that’s what she said…hehe) and that’s always good news in Rays camp. He’s still only 25 and should have a nice “bounce back year”. Some may have jumped off of his wagon to hop on his brother’s, Justin, but look for B.J. to flash some power and re-join the elite outfield category in 2010.
