2010 PROJECTIONS & OUTLOOK: 6W-7L. 125 INN. 97 K. 4.53 ERA. 1.41 WHIP. Eventually expected to take over the 5th spot in the rotation behind Lincecum, Cain, Zito and Sanchez, Bumgarner is the next prized, pitching gem in the San Francisco farm system. At 19, Bumgarner got his first cup of tea last year in ‘09, pitching just 10 innings. He’s pitched well and has accelerated in the system – posting ridiculous numbers at each stop. He should start the season in Triple-A with a mid-season call-up likely; unless he wins a spot this spring. Lincecum, Cain, Bumgarner is what you should see for the next 10 years if the Giants are smart and lucky.
I saw him pitch in the minors. He is crazy filthy good.
