15W-7L. 172.1INN. 190K. 3.55ERA. 1.27WHIP. After a up and down start to his ‘09 campaign, Lester dropped the hammer, turned into 5th and took over Boston’s lead as Number 1. The 26-year-old LH stud went 12-3 in his last 22 starts with an ERA in the sub 2.50’s – he also 10 K or more in 5 of those starts. The wins projected here can reach 22 or as low as 10 – I see about 18. But I also see a fantastic year from Lester as he continues to mature as a pitcher. Take him as a legit number one with upside to grow in the company with Carpenter, Wainwright and Santana – earlier in keeper and dynasty leagues. The Red Sox hurler will probably reaching 200 INN and 200 K again in 2010.
